Week 9 Results at the Norway Speedway

Pepsi Cola of Iron Mountain Michigan presented the week 9 action at ASA Member track Norway Speedway Friday night, were Troy Nelson won his second consecutive Pepsi Late Model A feature. Bill Delfosse survived a Super Stock demolition to win his second Auto Value Bumper to Bumper super Stock A feature. Jim Stanchina drove off with the DQ-Dog Four cylinder A feature, and Jim Stachowicz won his 5th Slammer feature.

Jay Baumler and Scott Stanchina led the Pepsi Late Model A feature to the green flag. Jay Baumler quickly made his way by taking the lead. Ryan Hood moved by Stanchina to take the second position, but Jay Baumler had checked out from the field. Baumler looked to be on his way to an easy victory until a late caution let the field catch up to him. Last weeks feature winner Troy Nelson moved to the outside on the restart. When the race restarted with 15 laps to go, Nelson fired by on the outside of Baumler taking the lead on lap 21 and never looked back. 1. #19 Troy Nelson 2. #76 Jay Baumler 3. #1 Mike Reichenberger 4. Jesse Hedlund and Todd Sundstrom roared out of turn for to start the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Stock feature, but lap three Sundstrom slipped up a bit and after the dust settled ¾ of the field had been involved with the wreck. After the lengthy cleanup, Hedlund led the field to the green, but Mike Higgins quickly used the outside lane gliding into the lead. Ryan Wender eventually moved into the second position and was all over the back of Higgins and the laps wound down. With four laps to go Higgins and Wender came together allowing point leader Bill Delfosse to slip by and take the lead. DQ-Dog A feature, had saw Jim Stanchina and Bobby rose lead the field of 18 to the green, Jim Stanchina ran away winning his first feature of the season. 1. #41 Jim Stanchina 2. #25 Gerald Dugree jr 3. #222 John Martin 4. #41B Brian Stanchina 5. #28 Cody Skog.

Jim Stachowicz ran away with the slammer feature, winning his 5th race of the season, John Mattia jr finished second, Neil Varda third.

Mike Reichenberger set fast time in the Pepsi Late models, Ron Jenshak set fast time in the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Stocks, and Cody Skog set fast time in the DQ-Dog four cylinder qualifying.

Pepsi Late Model Heat race wins went to Ken Bower, Wayne Brietenfelt, and Scott Stanchina, Auto Value Bumper to Bumper heat race wins went to Mike Stanchina and Ryan Wender. Elliot Hess took the win in the DQ-Dog Dash.

Dallas Kralovetz won the Pepsi Late Model Semi-Feature, followed by Brandon Reichenberger and Kris Oliver. Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Stock Semi-feature was won by Wes Thompson, followed by Anthony Poupore, and Brett Bray. Elliot Hess won the DQ-Dog Semi Feature over Amber Martin and Jason Paris.
