Week 7 Mid American Special Norway Speedway Results

The Mid-American Stock Car Series highlighted the week 7 action at the the ASA sanctioned Norway Speedway in front of a packed house, as Lyle Novak of Wausau WI captured the “EH” Main event for the Midam series, while Dalton Zehr held off Troy Nelson to win the Pepsi Late Model A - and Mark Jenshak won his first Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Stock Feature.

Lyle Novak snatched the lead early from Nick Crawford, Novak never really pulled away as Crawford stayed a close second and Mike Beyer chasing them both waiting for a slip up. Crawford was close enough to nudge Novak a bit, but as Crawford backed off to allow Novak to regain himself, Beye slipped by into the second position. As the leader danced around Bill Prietzel was making his way through the field. After a restart for the 5th place running Matt Pyburn, Prietzel moved to the outside of the restart to keep his charge to the front going. As the remaining laps clicked of, Prietzel could on get to the rear bumper of Novak applying the pressure, but at the point Prietzel could only hope for Novak to slip up, to drive underneath him, but that opportunity never came as Lyle Novak won the first Mid-American Series feature at the Norway Speedway in 13 years!

Pepsi Late Model A feature saw Dan Lindsley and Bruce White battling for the early lead, with Lindsley assuming the lead. Although moving up from the fourth starting position was Dalton Zehr in the Colman #119 car. Zehr would challenge Lindsley for the lead by lap 6, and snatch it away on lap 9. Co-Point leader Troy Nelson moved into the second position, but was under fire Dillon Kralovetz for the second position. A few late cautons would bunch the field up with Zehr pulling away, and Nelson and Kralovetz battling for the second position, it would stay that way till the end with Daltzon Zehr collecting the win. 1. #119 Dalton Zehr 2. #19 Troy Nelson 3. #2 Dillon Kralovetz 4. #1 Mike Reichenberger 5. #79 Dan Lindsley.

Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Stock A feature, had Al Bilski leading Mark Bubloni and Tim Schultz in the early going of the the race, until the cautions started to fly. Mark Jenshak maneuvered his way through the traffic, picking off cars cerebrally making his way to the front. With a restart on lap 9, Jenshak shot to the outside and worked his way by Bilski with 7 laps remaining. Jenshak then pulled away claiming his first Auto Value Bumper to Bumper feature win. 1. #39 Mark Jenshak 2. #9 Al Bilski 3 #4 Markus Bubloni 4. #199 Bill Delfosse 5. #5 Tim Schultz jr

Brian Stanchina held off Tim Wilcox and Mark Moraska to win the DQ-Dog A Feature, while Cody Skog held off Eric Lafreniere to win the Semi-Feature

Jim Stachowicz drove off to win the Slammer feature.

LM Fast Qualifer was Dillon Kralovetz for the second consecutive week, while Ron Jenshak continued his domiance over fast time in the Super Stock division.

Troy Nelson won the Pepsi Late Model fast dash, with Jake Finney winning the Mid-Am dash, Mike Higgins winning the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Stock dash.

Pepsi Late Model heat winners were, Allan Yelle, Ryan Hood and Bob Danes, Mid-Am heat winners were Lyle Novak, and Bobby Gutkineck. Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Stock heat winners were Jessse Hedlund and Al Bilski.

Terry Quick, Jesse Hedlund and Brett Bray put on a great show during the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Stock Semi feature, as they went three wide for the victory and transfer spot into the A, with Terry Quick getting the win, Brett Bray Second, and Jesse Hedlund third, Anthony Poupore fourth. The top for were only separated by 7 tenths of a second coming to the checkers!

Ryan Hood held off Mitch Curran to win the Pepsi Late Model Semi-feature, as the two advanced into the A. 1. #28 Ryan Hood 2. #22 Mitch Curran 3. #7 Caleb Fulcher 4. #93 Allan Yelle 5. Tony Wells.
